Saturday, September 26 — Lend a Hand on the Refuge!
The annual Fall Beach Cleanup takes place on Saturday, September 26, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. It's a great opportunity to make a real, visible difference — join the Friends of Parker River NWR as we clear trash from the refuge beaches and salt marshes. Cleaning the refuge makes these areas safer for visitors and wildlife alike.
There will also be opportunities for volunteers to help with trail maintenance.
Who Should Come?
Everyone is welcome! Environmentally concerned individuals, families, youth groups, and civic organizations - no experience necessary.
When you check in, Friends Board members will provide a safety briefing and designate the areas of the refuge that need the most work.
